DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Girls of Mu Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Worldwide are bringing again its annual Teddy Bear Honest from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, on the Lewiston Excessive College fitness center.
The Girls of Mu are all educators, energetic and retired, from the Lewiston/Auburn space. Cash generated by the honest goes to scholarships, one for a graduating senior from one of many excessive colleges within the Twin Cities and surrounding communities who plans to enter training; the opposite goes to a Delta Kappa Gamma member who’s engaged on a sophisticated diploma.
The Girls of Mu will promote baked good, used books and DVDs, white elephant objects, harvest objects equivalent to jellies, jams, salsas and pickles; gently beloved stuffed animals and crafts, together with knitted scarves, hats and mittens, and child layettes, in addition to kitchen towels and dishcloths, and vacation crafts, together with Christmas and Thanksgiving decorations.
We may also have a raffle desk with handmade objects, present certificates for lobster and fuel, a youngsters’s craft basket, and plenty of different treasures. We hope many will come see us and assist our efforts to lift scholarship cash. — Angela, no city
